Claims Information and Tips

In the event of a claim, please contact your Broker/Agent immediately. 

If it is after business hours or a holiday, you can contact your insurance company’s claims hotline for emergency service: 

Updating your insurance with your Broker on a regular basis will ensure that you have proper coverage in the event of a loss. Discuss with your Broker weather related losses, property theft and identity theft losses, loss of earnings, and other losses that are becoming more prevalent in today's society. Insurance is purchased for security of your assets and financial peace of mind.

Proving your Loss - Tips to Follow:

• Have a list of all the valuables that belong to you. In this list it's a good idea to attach pictures, serial and model numbers, brand and model names, and the purchase receipts.
• Recording your property and assets on to a video tape is an excellent idea.
• Be sure to keep these documents in a fireproof safe.
• By taking these actions you will ensure that you have a way to prove your loss. You will also assist your Insurance Adjuster when he/she reviews your claim.

What should you do in the event of an Automobile Loss?

• Record any information that will help you when you report your claim.
• Make sure everyone involved in the accident is alright
• Contact 911.
• Contact your Broker/Agent.
• Record the name, address, phone number, insurance information and license number of anyone involved or anyone who witnessed the accident.
• Remain at the scene of the accident until you are notified by the police that it is safe to leave.

What should you do in the event of a Property Loss?

• If you feel that your insurance policy should cover your loss please follow the steps listed below.
• If you feel that the loss was related to a criminal act please contact the police.
• Contact your Broker or our Office as soon as you can, and a Claims Adjuster will be there as soon as possible.
